Come away with Jesus Conference!-Part 1

Hey Y'all! this last weekend I went to a simulcast lady's conference by Leslie Ludy! It was really Great!! I don't really take notes vary well but I tried! so I thought I would share and highlight a little bit of it! and some of the things I learned and liked about it!
---A  set apart girl conference--Come away with Jesus!
                                               Three things to leave behind.
                                                   1. Luke warm living
                                                   2. Friendship with the world
                                                   3. Half-hearted devotion
1. Come Away From Luke warm living: Revelation 3:16,19-20 We cannot have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ unless we come away from lukewarm living. We need to be all for the Lord."Is prayer your steering wheel, or your spare tire?"-Corrie ten Boom  If everything else in your life was stripped away ,would Jesus be enough?

 2. Come away from friendship with the world: James 4:4  John 15:19  2 Corinthians 6:17 Jesus does not ask for a partial commitment. He asks us to let go of everything else, and cling to Him. We can't do the things that the world does and participate them. For we are changed and are different then the world. we can't be a very good witness if we are doing what they are doing. Listing to the kind of music they listen to, Watching the kind of movies they watch, talking about the things they talk about, wearing the kinds of things they wear. etc.. True Christianity will influence the world-but it will never be applauded by the world.        The world isn't rejecting Christianity today because we aren't enough like them, but because we are too much like them.   It is not popularity and cultural relevance that will win the world for Christ, but men and woman who live and die as if Jesus is all that matters.----This isn't as good as the really conference but its the best I can do! Part 2 coming soon! Blessings-Rebekah

  1. That quote is so good from Corrie Ten Boom. Truly prayer should be the first thing we do in all times. Keep up the good work on your blog!

    1. Yea! That was the first time I had heard it! I think prayer is something we often forget to do. Just out of curiosity, how did you find my blog!?
